The Co-operative Group has stayed true to the principals of the co-operative movement even though it is now a multi-million pound business. There are no shareholders, with all profits being shared between members, and the Board of Directors consists solely of representatives from the membership body.
As the organisation grows there is an increased need to make sure these Board members have the necessary skills and experience to take the business forward. Our challenge was to create a brochure and information pack that communicated the changes effectively but didn’t alienate members from the process.
The resulting pack featured a portfolio case with tabbed dividers which could be used during the course and a brochure which explained the process in a user friendly style. The design for the brochure was based around the concept of growth and showed a selection of flowers and plants in different stages of development.
