Yes, another month and yet another award, this time for our lovely creative team. Hayley and Stu headed off to the big smoke to the Chip Shop Awards, held on trendy Brick Lane in London, and came back with not just any award, but the People's Choice Award for Best Packaging Design / Point of Sale, check it out - http://www.chipshopawards.com/peopleschoice. A huge congratulations to Hayley, Dave and Rick who worked on this, and the rest of the studio who have all been producing some fantastic work of late. Here's to many more design awards, especially ones that involve mushy peas...

For the second year running, beating off stiff competition, we have been chosen to partner with Which? to produce the 2011 Which? Awards. The event, which is set to take place on 23 June, at Kings Place in London, publicly recognises those companies and individuals that consistently get it right for consumers earning them the coveted Which? stamp of approval. And if that wasn't enough, we have also won the pitch to produce the consumer event, Which? and ICB 'Your Voice for Better Banking' taking place in May.
Our Which? team have been working hard, but it's all in a days work, as Philippa, one of our Senior Account Managers and head of the Which? team, said: "Our aim is to keep our approach fresh at all times, whether pitching or delivering, so to be
chosen again to produce the awards is a great credit to the team and it really pays testament to our full service offering as delivering it will touch on nearly every division within The fresh Group.”
Now that's joined up thinking!

It’s fair to say that we’re not glory hunters, but it’s always nice to be recognised as an all round bunch of lovely creative people! So, the fact that we are finalists in the RAR Awards (Best in Effectiveness and Best in Print Management) and also the How-Do Awards (Creative Agency of the Year) is great – whether we win or not is another matter, but here’s to being recognised by our clients and our peers. The RAR Awards take place tonight in London and the How-Do Awards take place in May.

C&IT readers have chosen to place fresh's Nick Porter at number 8 and Julie Besbrode at number 12 in the annual Power 50 ranking, which was revealed last night at the Century Club in London.
This is a considerable move up the rankings after Nick achieved 30th place in 2008's votes and includes both founding directors for the first time.
We'd just like to say a big thank you to everyone who voted for us. This poll coincides with fresh's biggest year to date and places us firmly amongst the movers and shakers in the industry!

After an unprecedented first six months to this financial year, we are thrilled to announce that Antony Wilson will become Financial Director. His first six months have contributed directly to improved business processes and financial reporting, which in turn will help keep us on track to achieve our ambitious 2011 targets.
Previously at Manchester’s TBWA, newly appointed FD (and lifelong Burnley FC fan) Antony Wilson commented; “It’s been an incredibly busy six months at fresh and it shows no sign of slowing down. We are on track for a record year and I look forward to playing a crucial role in the ongoing success of the business.”

fresh welcomes twelve new team members this month!
Vicky Jones joins our ‘front of house’ team covering maternity leave. The busy AVON team welcomes Account Manager Bettina Husselmann from her marketing and sales promotion background in South Africa, and Sarah Evans from Comtech as Senior Account Executive and Account Executive Grace Arnell from Cavalier also join the accounts team.
Expansion continues in the Video team as Senior Producer Karen Milligan (previously at Granada) joins along with Producer Emma Gough. Fresh create welcomes Sabrina Jackson as a Junior Designer and Farid Abbassy joins as Business Development Manager.
In the studio we welcome Hayley Leaf, Senior Designer previously at Sass and Clear, Designer Chris Smith from the MEN and Creative Artworker Steve Mattison from MDA Creative. Last, but by no means least, Roy Gaterell joins the technical team as Technical Manager.
These new additions come as the expansion of our 2250 sq ft ground floor is now complete and fully occupied - nice timing as this quarter will be the biggest in the company’s history.
New clients, new projects, new teams – it’s the start of another good looking year for award-winning fresh.
